Meet Meghan Kuschel
Growing up on a ranch surrounded by a variety of animals, I developed a deep love and respect for all creatures great and small. My journey into veterinary medicine began in 2019 when a sudden emergency with my own dog revealed the critical need for compassionate care and skilled intervention. This experience ignited my passion for animal advocacy and led me to become a veterinary technician at an emergency and specialty clinic.
During my time in this role, I’ve had the privilege of working alongside a team of dedicated doctors specializing in emergency care, internal medicine, neurology, dentistry, cardiology, and orthopedic surgery. My particular interest lies in critical medicine, where I thrive on the challenges that come with emergency and internal medicine cases I enjoy using my knowledge and skills to advocate for animals who cannot speak for themselves, ensuring they receive the best possible care.
In February 2024, I embraced the role of hospital manager, where I wear multiple hats to keep our clinic running smoothly. I’m always ready to jump in whether assisting in technician duties or supporting our reception team. I believe that informed pet owners are essential to the well-being of their furry companions, and I take great pride in helping them navigate their pets’ health needs.
In my free time, I love spending time with my significant other, JC, and our daughter, Katie. We enjoy various outdoor activities like fishing, boating, and exploring new areas. Katie and I also travel to different cities for her beauty pageant competitions, which adds a fun adventure to our lives. Our family includes three dogs - Chief, a lab mix, Boogie, a pit-bull mix, and Jonnie, a miniature dachshund—as well as a tropical fish tank that I enjoy redecorating with each season.
I am excited to be part of Animal Care Extraordinaire, where I can continue to advocate for animals and share my passion with a community that values compassionate care.
