Animal Care Extraordinaire is a full-service small animal hospital, serving Martin County since 1982. We are centrally located in Stuart, Florida on The Treasure Coast.

Mission Statement
The goal of the doctors and staff of Animal Care Extraordinaire is to provide excellence in veterinary medicine, diagnostics and surgery.  Our focus is on preventative care for our patients and education for our clients and our staff.  We preserve as a priority the continuation of our medical knowledge through the latest seminars and courses.  We strive to impart our knowledge to our clients and staff to ensure the absolute best care of every pet we treat.  Every effort is made to surpass our client’s expectations by maintaining the highest ethical and medical standards.  We never forget that every pet we see is a cherished member of the family, and we treat each with the same care and compassion that we do our own family pets.

    Wayne Diamond, DVM

    Dr. Wayne R. Diamond was born and raised in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida where he grew up in the family magic business. Dr. Diamond graduated from the University of Florida, College of Veterinary Medicine in 1981. He initially practiced in Hollywood, Florida and in 1982,  relocated to Stuart and opened a practice named Stuart Centre Animal Clinic. In 1985, he built his current facility and named it "Animal Care Extraordinaire".

    Dr. Diamond, his wife Debbie, as well as their sons, take pleasure in the outdoor life synonymous with Florida. On weekends off you can find him boating, fishing, scuba diving or snorkeling.

  • Ronald Ball, DVM, MS

    Ronald Ball, DVM, MS

    Dr. Ronald S. Ball was raised in Louisville, Kentucky. He obtained his undergraduate degrees from the University of Kentucky and then moved to Alabama to continue his education at Auburn University’s College of Veterinary Medicine where he obtained his DVM as well as a Masters degree in 1991.

    Upon graduation he returned to Louisville, Kentucky and practiced in an Emergency clinic for a year then moved on to a general practice.

    In December of 1993 he elected to move south to sunny South Florida where he took a position with Dr. Wayne Diamond at Animal Care Extraordinaire. Dr. Ball is happily married since 1987 and is blessed with 2 children and a houseful of pets.

  • Melissa Stratton

    Melissa Stratton

    Melissa enjoys the process of grooming dogs and cats to look fabulous. She also assists the veterinarians. Melissa grew up raising and rehabilitating wild animals and training dogs. She began working in veterinary hospitals when she was 16 and started grooming in 1999.

    Patty Fontaine

    Patty assists the veterinarians during exams and surgeries. She has worked in the veterinary field since moving to Florida from Connecticut in 1998.  Patty is married with a daughter, a dog, Kona, and 2 cats, Harley and Butter.

    A native from Stuart, FL, Amanda is a 2008 graduate of the University of Florida, with a bachelor's degree in Agricultural Education and Communications.  Amanda enjoys riding and training horses. She has a blue tick coonhound, Cayenne, and a pet pig, Fiona.

    Linda Motz

    Linda has been our Kennel Supervisor since 2001. Her duties include obedience training, assisting the doctors, overseeing the kennel duties, bathing and tending to the comfort of your pets. Linda has had pets all her life, which have included German Shepherds for the past 35 years.
